CNC Mill Operator - Experienced

Position Summary:

Our company is searching for a seasoned and proficient CNC Mill operator to work in our computer numeric controlled (CNC) mill department. Your primary role will be to uphold our commitment to crafting precision parts and tools in accordance with engineering blueprints and customer specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to run with efficiency Haas and Mazak multi axis machines.
  • Must be able to set up CNC Mill machines.
  • Must know Mastercam.
  • Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding, and milling.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
  • Understand gauges and measuring devices.
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
  • Check machinery daily to guarantee functionality.
  • Record all machine actions by completing production and quality log.
  • Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
  • Ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.

Essential Functions:

  • Troubleshoots tools and makes necessary adjustments and repairs.
  • Performs all work necessary to assure that part produced will pass first piece inspection.
  • Performs preventative maintenance according to procedure.
  • Must adhere to all safety and environmental policies.
  • Seeks Continuous Improvement methods to improve efficiency, quality, and reduction of scrap.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification, recommended.
  • Certificate or diploma in engineering is an advantage.
  • 3 years’ experience as a CNC Mill/Lathe operator.
  • Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.
  • Strong comprehension and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in written and oral communication, delivering various types of information in a logical manner.
  • Good computer and mathematical skills.
  • The ability to interpret Blueprints.
  • Basic computer knowledge

CNC Machinist

Machine Builder 2 - Experienced

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Builder to join our Custom Machine Assembly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling parts and components to build a variety of machines and mechanical systems. This role requires precision and a strong understanding of mechanical processes, as well as the ability to work from technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret assembly blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Assemble components and parts according to specifications to construct mechanical systems.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as measuring instruments, to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Inspect and test completed units to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Coordinate with engineers and other production team members to resolve assembly issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Some travel required
  • General understanding of tool room type machine tools

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Machine Builder, Mechanical Technician, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production deadlines.
  • Experience with fabrication

Shippping and Receiving

Position Summary:

 Packaging and skidding of outgoing jobs/orders to customers. Fast paced environment. Some heavy lifting required. Assist with packaging and skidding of outgoing jobs to customers and vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
  • Prepares Sales orders; issue packing slips; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
  • Prepares Outside process orders by pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
  • Open bales, crates and other containers; distribute accordingly.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
  • Maintains inventory controls by receiving inbound receipts within MRP system. Cycle count as needed.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing.
  • Operates lift trucks, hand trucks, overhead crane system, and company truck to convey, move or hoist materials to proper areas.
  • Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times. Notifying Materials Coordinator when supplies are needed.
  • Utilizes UPS/FedEx software effectively and understands summary reporting on request. Have understanding of both Domestic and International shipping guidelines and requirements.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Perform assign tasks as directed by management

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to operate industrial equipment (forklift, cranes, hand truck)
  • Ability to operate company truck
  • Ability to follow work instructions.
  • Ability to plan and manage assignments.
  • Ability to prioritize work.
  • Have a good understanding of materials management including inventory control.
  • Have good understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints.
  • Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to operate computers while using a Windows platform. (Retrieve files, save files, email, Word and Excel)
  • Ability to use Epicor ERP system.
  • Must be organized and show initiative
  • Recent shipping and receiving experience required.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be flexible.

Working Environment and physical requirements:

  • Safety requirements for this position are safety glasses, hearing protection when required, and Osha approved foot wear.
  • Typically works in a moderately noisy environment.
  • Repetitive motions.

Qualifications:

  • Forklift experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 yrs. previous Shipping & Receiving/Warehouse/Forklift experience preferred
  • Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
  • Dependable and Reliable
  • Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required

Assembly Operations Manager

General Machinist

Position Summary:

Duties will include various jobs involved in manufacturing, as well as miscellaneous plant tasks.  Applicant should be mechanically inclined and have a good understanding of basic tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operator – Read blueprints, Use Micrometers, calipers, inspect parts as required
  • Clean and deburr parts
  • Keep working area clean and organized
  • Drive Fork Truck
  • Empty chip hopper
  • Retrieve stock
  • Wash and move parts
  • Any other job duties as assigned

 Essential Job Functions

  • Pick up part origin using edge finder, probe or indicator
  • Set up tooling for the job and tool offsets
  • Make tool offset adjustments when needed
  • Be able to read a steel scale ruler

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience: General use of computers
  • Good math skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Micrometers, Calipers and other precision Gages
